Integrity Does Not Prove That the Document Is True
An unchanged document can still contain mistakes or false statements. Integrity proves state, not factual correctness.
The practical test
Ask what evidence was checked, which algorithm and key were used, whether identity was independently bound to the key, whether time came from a trusted authority, and whether current revocation or supersession status was queried.
A result that was not checked must remain amber or neutral. It must not inherit a green state from a different layer.
Universal Document boundary
UD can carry canonical integrity evidence and related trust material. Integrity alone does not establish authorship, identity, trusted time, legal effect, factual correctness, current status or independent consensus.
