Why Corporate Records Need Finality, Not Just File Storage
Storage answers where a file is. Finality answers which exact state was approved, whether it later changed and what superseded it.
UD model
UDR carries the changing state and its lineage. UDS preserves an exact final state. A later amendment derives a new UDR instead of rewriting the sealed record.
Fair incumbent boundary
SharePoint and other enterprise repositories can provide version history; CLM and e-signature platforms provide mature workflow and administration. UD is intended to make identity, lineage and verification travel with the document between systems.
