What Exactly Became Final — and Can You Prove It?
A trustworthy final record identifies the exact bytes, signing or approval evidence and relationship to prior revisions without relying on the filename alone.
UD model
UDR carries the changing state and its lineage. UDS preserves an exact final state. A later amendment derives a new UDR instead of rewriting the sealed record.
Fair incumbent boundary
SharePoint and other enterprise repositories can provide version history; CLM and e-signature platforms provide mature workflow and administration. UD is intended to make identity, lineage and verification travel with the document between systems.
