UD Sign Bug Light 1 · Founder Pilot

Why does the proof of signing live around the document instead of with it?

UD Sign is an assisted electronic-signature Founder Pilot that binds each signature to the exact agreement revision, completes it as a sealed UDS, and keeps signing evidence portable with the document.

A signed agreement should know what was signed, who acted, what changed, and what became final. DocuSign provides mature signing workflows, cryptographic signatures and audit evidence. UD Sign tests a different document architecture; it does not claim DocuSign lacks those capabilities.

UD Sign compared fairly with DocuSign

CapabilityCurrent positionTruthful explanation
Electronic signaturesBOTHBoth can record electronic signature intent and completion evidence.
Sequential and parallel routingBOTHUD Sign Founder Pilot supports both routing modes; DocuSign has a broader mature workflow product.
RemindersDOCUSIGN CURRENTLY AHEADFounder Pilot reminders are assisted rather than a mature self-service automation system.
Templates and placed fieldsDOCUSIGN CURRENTLY AHEADUD Sign does not yet claim the incumbent’s template and field-placement maturity.
Identity assuranceUD SIGN PLANNEDFounder Pilot uses secure-link possession and self-declared identity unless a separate verification procedure occurs.
Audit evidenceBOTHBoth architectures can preserve signing actions and audit evidence.
Exact-document bindingUD SIGN ADVANTAGEEach Founder Pilot signature adopts the canonical hash of the exact revision being signed.
Revision lineageUD SIGN ADVANTAGEA UDR can preserve the agreement’s living lineage before signature.
UDR to UDS lifecycleUD SIGN ADVANTAGECompletion moves the exact living agreement into a sealed UDS instead of treating the surrounding workflow as the document’s identity.
AmendmentsUD SIGN ADVANTAGEThe signed UDS remains unchanged; an amendment begins as a new living UDR.
Portable verificationUD SIGN ADVANTAGEThe completed BrowserCarrier and raw UDS can carry evidence with the document for local verification.
Document intelligenceUD SIGN ADVANTAGECompatible UD Readers can use the document’s structured blocks and policies without making a PDF transaction the canonical object.
IntegrationsDOCUSIGN CURRENTLY AHEADUD Sign Founder Pilot does not claim broad integration parity.
Enterprise administrationDOCUSIGN CURRENTLY AHEADIncumbent administration, governance and deployment controls are substantially more mature.
Mobile maturityDOCUSIGN CURRENTLY AHEADThe Founder Pilot is browser-ready but does not claim incumbent mobile product maturity.
Migration maturityDOCUSIGN CURRENTLY AHEADThe one-agreement pilot avoids requiring migration; broad migration tooling remains future work.

Try one agreement without migrating your company

You do not need to migrate your company. Give UD Sign one ordinary agreement and compare the completed result with the signing workflow you use today.
